Welcome ladies to the sixth round critiques. This round, we wanted to see your teams to represent the four seasons.
Let's see how you all did. We will begin with Team Milla.
Team Milla
Cher - Winter
Koda: This shot has a lot of fakeness to it and for me, fakeness is situational. Most of the time, I'm fine with it (or even like it) if it fits with the theme like it does here. So, you won't get blasted by me for the fakeness in this photo. I love the fantasy and I love the strong pose that's really fitting. You do look a bit like the Bride of Frankenstein here, though (with a little Morticia Addams thrown in, too).
Christian: Oh boy.
Not sure why Jensen is using my trademarked term. He must want a spanking.
Cher honey you know I love you. This photo I do not love. I honestly am not sure why everyone else does. Its so weirdly confusing. It's like Bride of Frankenstein meets a greek goddess meets a Jedi meets Narnia. Darling I just don't get it. The makeup is odd, the outfit is odd. I like a good odd, but this odd is unsettling. Like orange juice after toothpaste. I just am not on board with everyone else is seeing, sorry honey.
Jenna: This is a very strong photo, Cher. I like the Ice Queen feel I get from it, and I actually like the fantasy aspect to the whole thing, as well. Your pose is fantastic and I love your expression. It is very bold. I agree with Jensen when I say that everything here screams Fierce to me, as well. Excellent job.
Jensen: At first glance, I hated the white skin. But then I stepped back and remembered that this competition isn't always about looking beautiful lol This photo is fucking fierce! I don't know what else to say here. I have absolutely nothing negative to say. The setting is awesome, the props, weird yet fitting. Fierce pose, Fierce expression, Fierce outfit. Yes, all capital Fs lol Very good job Cher!
Christina - Spring
Koda: I don't see a quality issue here and I find that resizing photos doesn't always affect quality depending upon how you resize them. If you make them bigger, then obviously they'll lose quality, but I've found that reducing the size has actually improved the quality in some cases. Between the two photos you were thinking of going with, I think you made the right decision. While the first photo has a little more drama to it, your skin looks better in the second shot (skin looks a bit oily in the first shot) and a couple of us judges have had a problem with your skin in a couple other photos. It would be easy to tell that this was a Spring photo if those flowers didn't actually bloom in the Summer (just kidding; had to throw that in there). Your hair's a mess, but it looks purposely done and I like it. I also like that the vegetation carries over into your dress without overpowering it. Gives a bit more connection with the setting.
Christian: Xtina...
I love it. This is back to what you were impressing me with. No fake tans and bustiers (sp), just pure womanly beauty. I love the just had a romp hair and I love the way the flowers interact with your dress. I love that I can't tell if this is an overhead shot or a portrait shot. It's all very cool. I love that dress. Just love it. Thank you for listening and going with something more beautiful and less eurotrash poppy. I like models who listen, absorb and adjust. Brava darling.
Jenna: I think this shot is beautiful. I think your outfit is perfect and your styling is superb. I love the flowers, I think they work great, and add great pop to the whole vibe of the photo. Your pose is very strong and overall I think you hit the theme very well. Nice work.
Jensen: The only problem with resizing photos is they always affect the quality. Not your fault, happens to me. I hate it. Anyway, this is gorgeous. You look stunning. I love your angles. The dress is awesome. Your hair at first, I thought meh, but the more I look at this the more fitting it is with the over all vibe. I really like this photo a lot.
Milla - Summer
Koda: Your setting and your glasses definitely suggest Summer to me, but I feel like the color scheme is a bit autumnal. Still, the pose is solid and the windblown hair is a nice touch. It's a nice photo that could have been better with a bit brighter color palette.
Christian: Milla what a coy little duckie you are in this photo.
I really like this Milla. I think it's natural and has a real authentic beauty about it. I love the retro pinup look completely. A high-waisted short skirt? All day. And those bangles on your wrist are divine. Di-vine. I do have one complaint. I don't love your hair. Not the wind blown part, I wish it were just longer or fully down or something. Really my only complaint. Your reward points will surely help you as well.
Jenna: I absolutely see Summer here. I like the neutral colors, as I feel it helps you to match your surroundings. I think your styling and outfit are very fashionable, and I like seeing your whole body in your posing. I wish your expression was a bit stronger, and we were able to see your face a bit more clearly, but the glasses do work with the theme, so I can't complain. Solid photo, Milla.
Jensen: I really like this. I saw Summer right away. Possibly because you're on a beach or something. There are some windy days in the summer time lmfao The sun and shadow really help as well. I love your styling, your shoes, your setting. I don't mind the wind blown hair. This is good.
Rihanna - Autumn
Koda: I do want to start off by saying that overall, I like this photo. Jensen and I talked about a few models over AIM through the course of this shoot and he pointed out to me that the shading of the shot makes you look pregnant and I had to agree. However, for me, that's the only negative. The season is easy to see here and I think this is a pretty memorable photo. I think that the photo Jensen suggested has better modeling and is more flattering, but I'm much more likely to remember the striking quality of this shot.
Christian: Ri Ri. Werk.
I do agree with Jensen and Asia that the shading makes you look pregnant. Pregnant with fashion.
I do not agree with Jensen's suggested shot as it looks like Ri is about to give birth. I like this shot. I don't love the way it is "finished" with the blown out colors. I would love a more vibrant shot here. But you are giving great face and I love what you are doing with your legs. This was a strong round but I think you should be OK.
Jenna: I think that this shot is stunning. Aside from the part that Jensen mentioned, I love everything here. I love your setting, and the leaves that are falling really makes this photo stand out. I think your pose, and the way you're holding the tree, is excellent. I also love your outfit and how the colors are so vibrant against the nature setting. Really great job, Rihanna.
Jensen: Obvious representation of Autumn. Love the setting. The falling leaves are a really nice touch. Your pose is really good. But I do not like this photo. I actually liked it when you posted the smaller version, although I do hate small photos. But we couldn't notice the things wrong with it then. I did a quick search to see if this photo has been touched up, which obviously all photos are lol but I meant by anyone else. Because the midsection looks like it's been ruined beyond belief. It looks like someone just decided to scribble over your belly area, making you look like a big fat giant blob. We can't see the lines your pose are making because of the midsection area. Looks like your belly is against the tree instead of your hip. Maybe it's the lighting, I don't know. When I was searching though, I found something I wish you'd submitted instead. This photo could have been really great.
This is the photo I wish you'd found.

The Discarded
Cate - Spring
Koda: With each player, I'm trying to guess what season they had before I look at the reserve list. I was able to correctly identify your shot as a Spring shot, so the theme is definitely there. Your shot is slightly grainy, but grainy is better than blurry in almost every case, so it's not that big of a problem. I like the relaxed demeanor of the photo and your dress is lovely. I do have to agree with Jensen that I find the expression to be a bit blank. Still, I'm a fan of this shot.
Christian: I guessed Spring, Summer, or Junkyard.
So 2 out of 3 isn't bad. I do think this is a step up from last week though I am not sure that's a big step. The quality is off a bit here, but I can look past that. I don't love or hate this shot to be honest. I am somewhere plainly in OK-Ville. Which might work for you this week. I do like how weird this is which says high fashion to me, I just don't love the setting. But you take way more chances than most and I like that.
Jenna: This is a very busy shot, but I don't feel as if you get lost in it. I can see that this is Spring, as well, and I like the easygoing atmosphere that your setting provides. I enjoy your pose and think your styling is simplistic, yet still manages to stand out. Very nice work here, Cate.
Jensen: I knew right away this was spring. I actually like this quite a bit. It's very high fashion/editorial. I love the weird setting and the instruments. The fish bowl lol that's weird, but who cares. The whole photo is weird in a good way. I love your dress and poss. My biggest complaint is the grainy quality. And your expression. Or really, lack of any interesting expression. Nice comeback Cate.
Emma - Summer
Koda: Well, there's a reason other Emma Watons have used this shot: it works. This is a different series, so I won't hold it against you that this shot has been used elsewhere before (even if it was by you). The setting's great, the pose is great, the attire is appropriate. It's just overall another solid photo. Good work.
Christian: I never would have known and as a suggestion I wouldn't even bring it up. And I don't think judges should either - it's a new game, people should never be penalized because we have seen it somewhere else before. That's just silly. But the fact that you did your homework and then pointed that out. It just feels weird. No judgments though, I only critique the photo as is.
And it's another solid effort. I am OB-SESSED with pixie cut Emma. I think she is one of the few ladies who pulls it off well. (Not looking at you Mia Farrow). I love the lines, I think the fashion is very youthful and appropriate. My only nit? I wish your eyes were open. I think that would have been the icing on the cake and helped connect more, but this is pretty great again. Nice work.
Jenna: This is really great, Emma. I love the laid-back feeling to it. Your pose is excellent, and your outfit works perfectly. I love the haze that the Sun is creating. It make it look even more like a hot, Summer day. I think having your eyes closed here, helps to enhance the shot, and makes it look like you're really enjoying yourself. Very nice job, overall!
Jensen: I've always been fond of this photo. I love the lines you're creating with your limbs and body. I love the soft, sensual feeling of the setting and your pose and your face. It all works well together. The colours are nice for your skin tone. You're sexy and this is why we are "married" lol (different Emma I know but still amazing, especially that sexy siggy)
Jennifer - Winter
Koda: Yeah, the photo is grainy, but grainy is better than blurry, so it could be worse. I do really like the styling here. The color scheme and the actual items themselves all really work well with your season. I love the 3/4 turn here and the lines it creates. I think if we got more of a view of your body or a more defined environment, this could have been a home run. Still, it's a strong showing none-the-less.
Christian: JLAW.
Shut your wintry mouth.
I HEART THIS. If it weren't grainy it would be perfect. I love the outfit, love the colors, love the styling, love the hair. I am not going to keep typing because i am done. It's wonderful.
Jenna: This is a solid photo here, Jennifer. I like all the White, and that robe is exquisite. Your makeup is flawless and your pose even makes you look like you're cold, which works nicely. I also wish your expression was stronger, but other than that, this all plays together well.
Jensen: The photo is grainy and your expression is sorely lacking. That said, this photo is very good. I love the coat and the setting. Everything screams winter. Even though you look nude under the coat lol The white on white really works for winter! And I really like your blurbs, you make me laugh.
Kirsten - Autumn
Koda: I had a great initial reaction to this shot since I find it visually striking. Like Jensen, I wasn't sure about the posing at first, but with the description and more time viewing it, it's really grown on me. I'm not a fan of baby doll dresses since I think they make women look... big. However, since you're laying down here, it doesn't have as much of a chance to add volume to your body and I don't mind it in this shot. I love your setting and I love explanation of the shot itself. I think this is your best shot in a while.
Christian: Kirsten. I have not been a fan.
And then I saw this photo.
And I still was not a fan.
And then I read the blurb.
And I became a fan. I hated it until I read your rationale and then I liked it a lot. I think you did a nice job selling me. I wish it were a bit tighter in so I could see your expression more. I don't love the dress, as I agree with Asia that baby doll dresses are too cutesie for me, but with this pose you avoid that.
Yeah nice job on this one.
Jenna: I, too like your description here, and feel that it adapts well to what you're showing to us. I think the deadness of the woods you're in, along with your pose depicts the death of Autumn nicely. I like your outfit, I think it gives a nice pop of color to an otherwise monochromatic color scheme. I also like how you're looking at the camera and I like the lines your body is illustrating.
Jensen: At first, I was very unsure how I felt about this. You're stiff as a board and I don't like that. But THEN, I got thinking about your blurb and your comment "everything is dead or dying." Being stiff really works for that. I mean, there's really not much modeling in being stiff, but I guess in a way, to stiffen your whole body, maybe there is. Especially laying across two tree stumps like that with the gap there. A lot of work being done by your neck and shoulders. The setting is perfect. I really love the setting. I actually like this a lot now.
[/font][/div]Let's see how you all did. We will begin with Team Milla.
